Finance Coordinator

The Finance Coordinator works to maintain accurate financial records for the Cache Humane Society, which includes:

following all established protocols at the shelter; maintaining financial records dealing with operational costs and income of the shelter; preparing payroll checks and checks for monies owed; preparing financial reports as requested by the Executive Director and the Treasurer; working to educate customers about the Principles of Responsible Pet Ownership and CHS through positive interaction with customers; and working in coordination with a variety of professions including staff from other areas and professionals from the community. This is a part-time position, not to exceed 20 hours per week.

Essential Skills and
Experience:

Skills and experiences required to adequately perform this position include: a Bachelors degree in accounting, business or a closely related field; 2
years of accounting or business experience; a thorough knowledge of Quick Books software; experience providing exceptional public service; ability to communicate effectively with staff on a variety of levels.

Non-Essential Skills and
Experience:

Skills and experiences desired, but not required, to adequately perform this position include: a Masters degree in accounting, business or a closely related field; 5
years of accounting or business experience; experience working in a high volume animal services facility.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
