Owners Advisor for Collaborative Delivery

In this role you will support and lead Owner Advisor assignments to assist public and private owners of water and wastewater infrastructure in implementing collaborative delivery for their capital projects.
Work areas include implementing design-build, progressive design-build, and construction management at-risk (CMAR) procurement processes, and providing oversight, technical, and advisory support for those projects through delivery of design, construction, and commissioning.
This position will support projects in a wide variety of locations throughout the U.
S.
This role has the potential to work virtually and can be filled near any BC office, preference for the East Coast or California.
Detailed Description:
Provide consultation related to the merits of various project delivery methods and support design-build procurement best practices as an advisor to owners.
Prepare and make presentations to clients related to best practices for design-build and CMAR implementation.
Collaborate and work directly with BC's Owner's Advisor team and clients in planning, negotiating and executing design-build projects during the preconstruction and construction phases.
Develop and prepare procurement documents, including Requests for Qualifications and Requests for Proposals.
Develop associated technical specifications, reports, planning, and construction submittal reviews, calculations, models and other technical deliverables to support the owner's procurement and implementation process.
Develop evaluation criteria and methodologies to support owners' project and procurement objectives while complying with local procurement policy, practice, and statute.
Support owners in the review of various designs, construction plans and approaches during the design and preconstruction phase of design-build and CMAR projects Communicate effectively and coordinate with multi-discipline project and business development teams comprised of client staff, BC's junior and senior OA Advisors, technical resources, estimators, marketers, and subconsultants.
Prepare supporting materials and presentations for OA clients and for professional meetings.
Identify and assess Owner Advisor opportunities and support business development pursuits to win Owner Advisor projects.
Support development and communication of design-build and CMAR best practices via participation in professional organizations and conferences and for internal marketing and staff development Maintain liaison with individuals outside BC to support industry initiatives and trade groups.
Position will require travel; potentially up to 25% of the time.
Desired Skills and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field Minimum 3 years of experience related to design-build and/or CMAR procurement or delivery preferred.
Background in design-build best practices and approaches Experience with estimating, materials and equipment procurement, and cost validation responsibilities preferred Experience with program management and construction management preferred Strong project organizational skills required DBIA or Associate DBIA certification preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and written report preparation essential Successful marketing, proposal writing, proposal management, and presentations development experience with emphasis on delivery-build and related project delivery methods preferred Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and the ability to multi-task essential Experience using Microsoft Office Suite essential Ability to work with remote teams, supported by travel as needed Valid driver's license and good driving record Salary Range:
The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
These ranges may be modified in the future.
