Advocate Tax & Accounting is in need of a new Junior Accountant. This position is perfect for a new MAcc graduate that is ready to start a career in accounting. Avoid the Big 4 and come work for a small local firm. Learn how to operate and manage your own book of business. You'll work directly with small business and individual clients helping them keep as much money away from the greedy IRS as possible :) You'll have fun at work and be expected to take enough time off to enjoy your life as well.
Responsibilities
This position duties include but are not limited to:
- Individual and Business Income Tax Preparation
- Bookkeeping
- Payroll
- IRS and State Correspondence
- Scheduling
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills are required as you'll be in contact regularly with clients.
- We prefer someone with either a MAcc, MBA, or Undergrad in Accounting who is pursuing their CPA certification.
- Any experience with QuickBooks or Lacerte is a great thing!Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
